Redgate is serving as Owner’s Project Manager for two significant healthcare expansion projects for UMass Memorial Health. At Marlborough Hospital, Redgate is managing the expansion of the emergency department, which will more than double the facility’s footprint and increase capacity from 13 to 23 treatment beds. The project also includes a new CT scanner to improve patient flow and reduce wait times, as well as a multidisciplinary clinic that will bring chronic disease management services to the Marlborough community that are currently only available in Worcester or Boston. Construction is being carefully phased to allow the emergency department to remain fully operational throughout the project.

Redgate is also providing Owner’s Project Management services for the 7,400 SF expansion of an existing cancer center delivering advanced proton therapy services. The project includes a new treatment vault and supporting clinical and patient care spaces and requires the integration of highly specialized radiation equipment within an active healthcare environment. Currently nearing design completion, the project has involved extensive coordination among stakeholders, the design team, and equipment vendors to support a seamless implementation. This facility marks the 46th in the U.S.
